St. Croix Renaissance Park
St. Croix Renaissance Park has hundreds of contiguous acres of industrial zoned land that is available for development. Advantages of this world-class industrial park include:
- On-site Power Generation: Renaissance Park has a fully-permitted coal-fired power plant that can generate up to 60 MW of energy, or an equivalent mix of energy and steam. It is powered by a Mitsubishi/CE pulverized coal-fired steam boiler; two 12.5 MW GE steam turbine-generators; and two GE 5 MW Steam Turbine Generators.
- On-site Water Production: Renaissance Park has desalinization facilities with a combined generation capacity of two million gallons per day that efficiently supply water to tenants at a significant cost savings.
- Existing Site Infrastructure: Renaissance Park's infrastructure includes three miles of water mains, two miles of insulated steam lines, three miles of electric lines, full telephone line service, fiber optic cabling, and extensive roadways, including 7,500 feet of frontage on the only four-lane highway in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Fully Equipped Machine and Fabrication Shop: Renaissance Park has a 37,000 square foot machine and fabrication shop that is able to service marine activities, industrial operations, heavy duty equipment operations, and the site's power and desalinization facilities. The shop has extensive equipment, including two 10-ton capacity overhead cranes.
- Deep Water Port: Tenants at Renaissance Park have direct access to Port St. Croix, a well-protected deep water port that is 7,000 feet long, 300 feet wide and 36 feet deep. The Port, which includes ample docking space and working port facilities, is centrally located relative to international shipping lanes and businesses that use it enjoy the economic benefits of exclusion from the Jones Act.
